Pastor Rowland became a Church of God credentialed minister in 1993 and currently an Ordained Minister. He served as an Associate Pastor of Leicester Church from 1993 to 2005, and from 2012 to 2015.

The family relocated to the island of Guernsey in 2005, and Pastor Rowland was employed as a Lecturer with Guernsey Business School, and Guernsey College of Further Education. As Evangelists on the island, and embracing the Churches as the Body of Christ, they ministered in various Churches, including regular preaching at Holy Trinity Anglican Church and undertaking the duties of a local Preacher within the Bailiwick of Guernsey Methodist Circuit. Pastor Rowland accepted the position of the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Evangelical Baptist Church in Guernsey in 2008 with the approval of the then Administrative Bishop of the NTCG England & Wales, who also attended their induction into the Pastorate of Emmanuel Evangelical Baptist Church in Guernsey.

Whilst in the island of Guernsey, Pastor Rowland and his wife, Joy, started the NTCG Ebenezer Fellowship Mission in Guernsey, winning new converts to Christ. They also pastored this small fellowship until the family relocated back to the UK in 2012.

Pastor Rowland Sunday’s ministry has also taken him to Malawi on many occasions in the past, ministering as a guest speaker and lecturer at the Church of God Bible School in Malawi.

An Accountant by profession, Pastor Rowland is a Bi-Vocational Minister, and worked in both the public and private sectors in the UK, before going into Further & Higher Education teaching profession in 1990. He has achieved his teaching fellowship status as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academic (FHEA), and currently a Lecturer with CU, Coventry University since 2012.

Pastor Rowland & his wife, Joy were inducted into the Pastorate of the NTCG, Rugby in Warwickshire, UK in September, 2015. They are passionate about Prayer, Mentoring, Evangelism and Missions. With a deep conviction that God’s Word is able to change lives, they firmly believe that winning the lost for Christ is the goal and mission of every believer and congregation. Furthermore, that the Church should endeavour to reflect the make-up of the society in which it is ministering, by being “connected to the challenges of our culture and society and responsive to current and emerging issues”. By God’s grace, we all can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Phil 4:13.
